Surf Therapy Surf Club - freesurf, play and wellbeing

Surf Club at Pease Bay is a safe and relaxed space to develop your sea, surf and self love practice. Sessions are available for women looking for a bit of extra support in life in a supportive environment to connect with community, friendship and nature.

A safe and relaxed place

We will start in our warm and cosy caravan, giving you a place to change, toilet facilities and a place to leave your belongings.

The session is for those who are looking for a bit of extra support in community and nature and for those who have previously attended a Groundswell Surf Therapy programme. It is not a coached session, there will be a surf lifeguard/ facilitator there to keep you safe.

If you have not attended before you are very welcome to join. Please email Rebecca to enquire- rrobertson@groundswellcommunity.org

Surf Club costs £5 to attend – if you are short of cash please don’t let it stop you coming along. We fundraise to discount the session and can offer spaces at no cost.

If you would like to borrow a surfboard or a wetsuit , please add these on to your booking. Again – have you are short of money, please email and we will fund your place.

It is a safe & relaxed space to meet on a beach in circle, make friends, share experiences, practice breathwork, movement, groundings, setting intentions and go in the surf if you choose to.

These circles will be led by volunteers and facilitators who are not qualified surf coaches. They will facilitate circle time and it is your choice if you’d like to go in the sea at the end of the session. A qualified lifeguard will be at the session.

If you decide to go in the sea you will need you own wetsuit/ surfboard. You can organise to hire equipment from Groundswell Scotland at a price affordable to you.
